What makes Skinny Gazelle™ such a powerful force for smooth, long-lasting energy? In a word, the ingredients. Skinny Gazelle™ is fortified with 19 essential nutrients, known as the Skinny Gazelle™ Proprietary Blend. Composed of herbs, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and other compounds, these ingredients have been shown in clinical studies to give a natural boost of energy as well as increased focus and alertness, as well as strengthening your immune system!
Hoodia gordonii
One of the most important natural ingredients in Skinny Gazelle™ is the plant Hoodia gordonii. Extensive research has shown that this plant may significantly benefit people working to lose weight, as it acts as a natural appetite suppressant. So we've made sure that every bottle of Skinny Gazelle contains a generous 3000mg of our own privately-grown, certified 100% PURE South African Hoodia gordonii – the only species of Hoodia that has been scientifically proven effective in weight management. Real Hoodia has been scientifically proven to assist in weight loss, without the harmful side effects of other appetite suppressants.
The following nutritious supplements are also an important part of the Skinny Gazelle™ Proprietary Blend:
Vitamin C
This powerful antioxidant has been used for centuries to treat scurvy. Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C has been shown to benefit many health concerns such as allergies, wound healing, eyesight and vision health, cholesterol management, and cardiovascular health. It may also be useful in caring for skin, joints, cartilage, and bones, and may have immune-boosting properties to fight against chronic diseases such as cancer and diabetes. In weight management, vitamin C can reduce muscle soreness caused by strenuous exercise.
Vitamin B3
Otherwise known as niacin or niacinamide, B3 is used as a natural manager of cholesterol levels. Along with vitamins B1, B2, B5, and biotin, B3 is crucial for cellular energy production. It helps process alcohol and detoxify the human body, as well as converting fats, proteins, starches, and carbs into usable energy.
Vitamin B6
Another vital antioxidant, B6 (or pyridoxine hydrochloride) works to speed up cellular chemical reactions, needed for producing amino acids and metabolizing fats and carbohydrates. It also helps with red blood cell production and may be essential for neurological health, as well as mood and mental functions and skin and muscle health. B6, as well as B12 and folic acid, may reduce levels of homocysteine in the body, which is a molecule that has been found to contribute to osteoporosis and cardiovascular conditions.
Folate
Folic acid, another B vitamin, may have properties beneficial to pregnant women; specifically, that of reducing neural tube defects and low birth weights. All major health care organizations advise women of childbearing age to take 400 mcg of folic acid daily. Potential fathers should take folate supplements as well. Folic acid may enhance fertility in both women and men. Folate may also be essential for metabolizing amino acids and overall protein functions, as well as cardiovascular, digestive, neurological, and mental health.
Vitamin B12
Research has shown that as an antioxidant, vitamin B12 is essential for many important bodily functions, including healthy growth, neurological and cardiovascular health, and energy production. It's considered vital for metabolizing carbs, fats, and proteins, and has been shown to have positive effects on joints and moods.
Manganese (as manganese sulfate)
This trace element is essential for overall health – the body requires minute amounts of this mineral for proper growth and development. Manganese is important for skin, bone, and cartilage health, as well as wound healing. It may enhance neurological functions and be crucial for regulating glucose (blood sugar). It activates the enzymes needed for metabolizing fats, and may benefit osteoporosis.
Endurlac™ Glucuronolactone
This metabolite is an effective tool for body detoxification. Multiple studies have shown that glucuronolactone may effectively reduce sleepiness and fatigue, as well as providing a sense of well-being and improved mental performance. (You may have heard an urban legend about glucuronolactone being banned as a carcinogen. This rumor was proven false, and the FDA has posted no warnings related to glucuronolactone.)
Taurine
A naturally-occurring amino acid in the human body, taurine is crucial for absorbing fats and fat-soluble vitamins. It aids in digestion and may have antioxidant properties. It may also support good eyesight and neurological and cardiovascular health.
N-acetyl-tyrosine
This amino acid may have benefits for mood and mental functions, including memory and alertness. Tyrosine is also responsible for transmitting nerve impulses to the brain. It's one of 20 essential amino acids involved in protein synthesis, and therefore is useful in stress relief.
Potassium Glycerophosphate
This mineral promotes general health and well-being, and may be useful in maintaining the body's water and blood pH levels. An essential electrolyte, potassium – along with its fellow mineral and electrolyte, sodium – plays a key role in maintaining the body's proper electrolyte balance. Research suggests that potassium-rich diets may also benefit cardiovascular and skin health as well as neuromuscular and kidney function.
Caffeine anhydrous
While Skinny Gazelle™ strives to contain as little caffeine as possible, a small amount is included, because small amounts of caffeine actually do have some useful health benefits! In addition to its well-known properties of boosting energy and alertness, studies have shown that it can assist in the quick absorption of many vital nutrients. While some people have difficulty processing even a small amount of caffeine, the average person can safely consume small amounts with few or no adverse reactions. However, it's best to limit your caffeine intake to avoid jitters and sleeplessness.
L-phenylalanine (LPA)
This essential amino acid functions as a building block for multiple proteins. LPA converts to other substances including the amino acid L-tyrosine and various neurotransmitters. It may promote alertness, elevate moods, relieve depression, enhance memory, and reduce sleepiness as well as hunger. It may also help to reduce chronic pain. LPA releases certain intestinal hormones that signal a feeling of fullness in the brain after eating, making it an effective appetite suppressant.
IMPORTANT: You probably noticed the following phrase in our "Supplement Facts": "Phenylketonurics: Contains phenylalanine." Unfortunately, certain people are unable to metabolize phenylalanine (this is known as phenylketonuria, or PKU). These people must follow low-protein diets, and avoid any foods with phenylalanine. Typically, we're tested for PKU at birth, so if you haven't yet been diagnosed, you're probably OK. Check with your doctor if you have questions about your tolerance for this useful substance.
Magnesium Glycerophosphate
This mineral is, quite simply, required by every cell in your body. It may contribute to over 300 important enzymatic reactions, including ALL biological functions. Along with calcium, magnesium is responsible for producing and transporting adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the body's source of energy. Magnesium has been shown to provide a calming effect, and may improve relaxation. It may also have therapeutic benefits for diabetes, including improving glucose tolerance, as well as insulin secretion and action.
Octopamine HCL
This substance, discovered in the last century in octopi, may benefit depression by contributing to higher levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is thought to impact behavior and cognition, motor activity, sleep, mood and learning. Octopamine may also improve weight management, as it assists in releasing fat from fat cells (known as "lipolysis").
Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco (quebracho)
This Argentinean tree species (meaning "axe-breaker") may enhance male sexual health by targeting erectile dysfunction, enabling blood to freely flow to the necessary areas. It may also offer valuable properties for respiratory health and lung function. Quebracho has been shown to effectively lower blood pressure and body temperatures (including fevers).
L-Leucine
Leucine is an amino acid that has been shown to benefit muscle health and function. It also displays properties for liver health as well as for diabetes. Leucine metabolizes into the compound beta hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB). The body may use HMB to limit the breakdown of protein following intense exercise. This may improve athletic performance and increase muscle mass and strength. HMB may benefit high cholesterol, as well.
Lepidium meyenii (maca)
Utilized by Peruvian natives for over two millennia, this root may increase energy and stamina. Maca may also benefit hormonal systems in both men and women, as well as effectively increasing libido in healthy men (without affecting testosterone or other sex hormone levels).
Yohimbe HCL
This African tree was traditionally used for leprosy, fevers and coughs. Today, yohimbe is harvested for its possible sexual health benefits, including sexual stimulation in women and male erectile dysfunction. It also increases blood flow to the penis (like natural Viagra!). For weight loss management, yohimbe may increase fat metabolism, and it may may benefit cardiovascular health, as well.
