Facts / Ingredients
The Formula
This formula has been specially designed to achieve optimal balance, digestion,
assimilation and elimination. The all natural ingredients in Colon Cleanse Ultra are
combined for cleansing accumulated waste from the colon and supporting proper
colon health. A very gentle formula,
Colon Cleanse Ultra is completely safe and should be easily tolerated
by everyone if taken according to directions.
Moreover, none of the ingredients are habit forming, as can sometimes be
the case with harsh laxatives.
Ingredients

Cascara Sagrada: This herb does
wonders for healing chronic constipation,
but does not create dependency, like other laxatives.
Rather, it is considered a tonic for the entire gastrointestinal tract.
It increases lubricating secretions
of the stomach, liver, pancreas and lower bowels. And it is good
for the gallbladder. It is a stimulant and tonic to all nerves.
And it is helpful for relieving high blood pressure, chronic gout,
indigestion, hemorrhoids, liver problems (especially enlarged
liver) and gallstones.
Buckthorn: This herb aids
the clearing of liver congestion, and helps to carry blood and
liver toxins out of the body, even lead poisoning. This herb is
also recommended for gallstones. It is calming to the entire gastrointestinal
tract, is a mild laxative, and is good for chronic constipation.
It helps keep the bowels regulated and relieves dropsy (excess fluid
accommodation in tissues or body cavity). It is commonly used for hemorrhoids,
colic (abdominal pain caused by spasm), obesity, acute appendicitis and
ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon). It has even been used externally
for treating warts.
Butternut Bark: This is an effective and
safe herb that helps evacuate waste out of the colon without the
side effects of other products on the market.
We give thanks and credit to Daniel B. Mowrey, Ph.D., for
his great book The Scientific Validation of Herbal
Medicine and for calling our attention to Butternut Bark.
This herb, one of the best and safest laxatives, is also
effective in healing liver and intestinal problems. It also helps
with secretion of bile and supports the glands in the walls of the
intestines.
Slippery Elm: This popular herb soothes, heals
and gives strength to irritated and inflamed surfaces, wounds,
burns and mucus membranes. It absorbs gas and neutralizes acidity
in the stomach. It is known to draw out impurities and is good for the stomach,
bowels and kidneys. It is often used for sore and dry throat, coughs,
bronchitis, pleurisy, pneumonia, asthma, lung hemorrhage,
gastritis, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers (part of the
intestine that connects to the stomach), diarrhea and even poison ivy.
Turkey Rhubarb Bark: This herb
is useful for aiding digestion as it increases saliva, encourages
the flow of gastric juices, improves the appetite, cleanses and
is a tonic for the stomach. It promotes healthy liver function and
stimulates the gallbladder and the flow of bile, while inhibiting gallstones.
It is good for the spleen, and promotes blood circulation
in the pelvic cavity. It is considered astringent and antiseptic. A gentle laxative,
it can even be used for children and infants. In larger doses, it is
good for diarrhea, and in smaller doses, for dysentery. It has commonly been used
for hemorrhoids, headaches, skin eruptions from faulty elimination,
duodenal ulcers, pinworms and thread worms.
Ginger Root: This is considered one of the very
best herbs for digestion. Ginger relaxes the stomach and is useful for relieving
upset stomach, indigestion and abdominal cramping. It is also helpful for the
following conditions: circulation, colic, fevers, food poisoning, gas pains,
morning sickness, motion sickness (prevention), ulcers, nausea and vomiting.
It also boosts the immune system and is good for colds and flu. Its anti-inflammatory
properties make it useful for arthritis, as well. When combined with other herbs,
ginger can enhance their value.
Irish Moss: This North Atlantic seaweed has properties
that make it beneficial for this formula. It produces a mucilaginous or gelatinous
substance which soothes tissues and has been used to reduce gastric secretions and
treat peptic and duodenal ulcers. It adds bulk to the stools and is helpful in cases
of chronic diarrhea or dysentery. The iodine content of Irish Moss makes it
great for the thyroid and for boosting metabolism. For this reason, it is sometimes
included in diet pills.
Capsicum: A fancy word for pepper, usually meaning
cayenne in herbalism, capsicum is beneficial for all the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.
It helps stimulate stomach secretions and can improve digestion. It is also a
fantastic herb for stimulating circulation and is great for the heart. Plus, its
anti-inflammatory properties make it useful for relieving pain. Its possible benefits
include: stopping bleeding, equalizing blood pressure, reducing risk of stroke,
helping kidney problems and healing ulcers. When blended with other herbs, it helps
them work better.
Licorice Root: This amazing root has a multitude of
benefits for the entire body. Licorice root is useful in this formula for lowering
stomach acid levels, and can help relieve heartburn and indigestion, as well as
irritation, inflammation and spasms in the digestive tract. It has a well-documented
history of healing ulcers. As a laxative, it is quite mild in action. Licorice root
is also extremely beneficial for the liver, both protecting it and helping it heal.
It can help reduce liver inflammation and fight the virus behind hepatitis. It can
also stimulate the flow of bile from the gallbladder. It is considered a "harmonizer"
when used with other herbs.
